 The inauguration ceremony of 4,957-foot  
 Hsinphyushin Bridge held

 YANGON, 18 Sept - The  inauguration  ceremony  of
 Hsinbyushin  Bridge for railway and motor traffic
 across  the  Chindwin   River,  linking   ChaungU
 Township in Sagaing Division and Yesagyo Township
 in  Magway  Division,  was  held  at the  central
 pandal on the bank of Sagaing  Division  near the
 bridge at 8.30 am today.  Chairman  of the  State
 Peace and Development Council  Commander-in-Chief
 of  Defence  Services  Senior  General  Than Shwe
 attended the ceremony and  delivered  an address.
 Before  attending  the  opening  ceremony  of the
 Hsinbyushin  Bridge,  Senior  General  Than  Shwe
 inspected   the   site    designated    for   the
 construction   of  the  textile  mill  of  Myanma
 Textile  Industries near the Kywede Village three
 miles away from Pakokku at 6.45 am today.  Senior
 General  Than  Shwe  gave  guidance  to them  and
 inspected the site chosen for the construction of
 the mill.  Then,  Senior  General  Than  Shwe and
 party  left  Pakokku  by  car  for   Hsinphyushin
 Bridge.  The inauguration ceremony of Hsinbyushin
 Bridge across the Chindwin  River was held at the
 central pandal on Tawkyaunggyi Village in ChaungU
 Township, Sagaing Division.  After the opening of
 the bridge, the Senior  General and party went to
 Monywa by car.  They went to Maha Bodhi  Tahtaung
 Kyaungtaik  in  Khatakantaung  Village in Monywa,
 and  paid  respects  to  Sayadaw  of  Maha  Bodhi
 Tahtaung    Kyaungtaik    Agga   Maha    Saddhama
 Jotikadhaja Bhaddanta Narada.
