Subject: Re: 11 members resign from Sittway Township NLD

Dear Okkar:
Just wondered whether you could clarify this business of Sittway Township
NLD members resigning on Aug 6.  Please refer to the edition of the New
Light of Myanmar for November 9, 1998 where it says that all members of of
Sittway Township NLD have resigned.  How can more members keep resigning
when they have already all resigned and the branch has been dissolved?

Sittway Township NLD dissolved

YANGON, 8 Nov-The Executive Committee members and all members of Sittway
Township National League for Democracy tendered their resignations and
dissolved the Township NLD on 27 October 1998.

11 members resign from Sittway Township NLD
 
YANGON, 20 Sept-Eleven  members resigned from the National   League   for  
Democracy   of  Sittway Township,   Rakhine  State.  Eleven   members  of
Sittway Township NLD, Rakhine State, of their own volition,   resigned   by
  sending   letters  of resignation  to  Township  Multiparty   Democracy
General   Election   Commission   and  the  party concerned  on 6  August 
1999 as they  no  longer
wished to participate in party politics of NLD.
