Indian Airlines veers off runway at Yangon

NEW DELHI, Oct 27 (Reuters) - An Indian Airlines IA.CN A-320 aircraft
suffered slight damage when it veered off the runway on landing in the
Myanmar capital, an airline spokesman said on Wednesday.
No one was hurt in the incident on Tuesday which happened in heavy rain.
``All 81 passengers and nine crew members are safe,'' the spokesman said.
The aircraft had taken off from Calcutta and was due to fly on to Singapore
from Yangon.
The spokesman said the plane's landing gear, nosewheel and left engine had
been damaged.
