(1)	U Tin Htun Appointed Ambassador to Philippines

	The Chairman of the State Peace and Development
Council of the Union of Myanmar has appointed U Tin
Htun as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary
of the Union of Myanmar to the Republic of the
Philippines.

(2)	Minister for Energy Meets Former Minister of
Finance of Thailand

	Minister for Energy  met former Minister of Finance
of Thailand Chairman Dr. Surakiait Sathirathai of the
Board of PTT Exploration and Production Public Co Ltd
who called at his office on 31 October. 

(3)	Myanmar Youth Delegation Leaves for Singapore

	A 32-member Myanmar youth delegation left Yangon on
30 October for Singapore to participate in the 26th
South-East Asia Youths Voyage sponsored by Youth
Affairs Management and Cooperation Agency of Office of
the Prime Minister of Japan. The delegation will start
the journey in Singapore and exchange views with local
youths. They will also meet youths from Malaysia,
Indonesia, Thailand, Vietnam, the Philippines and
Japan and discuss role of youths.

(4)	Myanmar Health Delegation Arrives Back from   
Malaysia

	A Myanmar health delegation led by Deputy Minister
for Health arrived back Yangon from Malaysia on 31
October by air after attending the 5th Conference on
Prevention and Control of AIDS of Countries in Asia
and the Pacific Region held in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia,
from 23 to 27 October. During their stay in Malaysia,
the delegation members visited State-run hospitals and
private hospitals in Kuala Lumpur and held discussions
with the Minister of Health of Malaysia on mutual
cooperation in health sector. On their return home,
the delegation members made a stop-over in Singapore
where they visited modern hospitals and held
discussions with officials on mutual cooperation in
health sector between the two countries.
