Subject: National Holiday in France/ WWI, when France got Total (CFP) & soldiers got nothing

Today is a national holiday. At the San Remo conference,in 1924, the
year Wilson, Lenin and Kafka died, France got the Turkish oil interests
that became the CFP (Cant find Petroleum -for the French) which became
eventually Total. They must be very happy today. Don't forget, America
in that great war became a creditor nation for the first time in its
history, buying up french english and european gold (Morgan of Morgan
Guaranty Bank), depositing it in the US, buying french and english
stocks and bonds, virtually buying it all. America basically didnt want
to be in that war which started in 1914 and shattered forever European
and Russia monarchy (the english and belge still have queen and king, as
do the dutch and swedes, and norway) but the german kaiser was virtually
ruined, and we know what happened to the Tsarist family, all butchered
to avoid an English rescue mission. The Russians lost some ten million
in that war, ten million of its population, which saved Paris from being
captured and destroyed, in the early days of the war. Back in the US,
the social democrats, actually they were called socialists of the
socialist party, one of its leaders was John Reed, and before that, Jack
London, also a writer was a member of that party identified to help the
underclass against the baron capitalists. They were still strong in
1912, and when they threw their weight to Wilson in the 1916
presidential election, "To keep the US out of the War", his republican
wall street secretary of state, robert lansing, and the bankers and
munition industry, war armament makers fueling th war and making great
profits, were able, by 1917, when the germans wanted peace, to throw
america in the war. You should know that the best banker for Morgan, who
negotiated the loans, in august and july 1914, Henry P Davison, later
became the Chairman of the Red Cross to mobilize america into the war.
Nice huh? Well, he was nominated, republican of course, for president,
but Coolidge won instead. Anyway, the war destroyed wislon, the
democrats became virtual republicans, and the socialist party was
destroyed, which is why john reed, black listed as a social democrat
against the war waged by the capitalists, went all the way to the left,
to write, wrote Ten Days that Shook the World, became more blacklisted,
and founded the US communist party, as well as becoming a member of the
elite Soviet Politburo. Lenin liked him. Reed died in 1920 october, 32
years old, of typhus. He is still buried in the Kremlin.

And the French got the Turkish oil assets.

This day at the end of the century, there is no new man, there is only
the passion and gore for money now driving society. It is a very sick
world today, and never before has the gap between the rich, and the very
rich, and the poor, with the billions of poor been so great. That 200 of
the top world corporations account for more influence that 80 % of
humanity.

That was the war that started it rolling. And that is why the French and
Total celebrate today as a national holiday.

John Reed was perhaps wrong about Russia but he was sure right about
America...(Harvard 1910, with T S Eliot, Walter Lippmann, and others)

Just something to remember.

Perhaps someone out there can tell us what the British did with Burma in
the first world war? A lot men women and children were killed in the
war. So today is a day of peace, flowers, families and memorials, in
France, too.

It kinda makes me sick though to think that all the frenchmen who gave
their lives up for the illusive cause of freedom, which delivered to the
french state a public oil company which was then transferred by very
shady and devious otherwise criminally made legal methods of the company
from the public to private sector, to enrich a few big pockets and now
many shareholders. They died for something they never saw or ever
dreamed of. And those against were, in france, were shot, and in the US,
the conscientious objectors, were imprisoned and beaten. That was a time
when anyone on the street who dared to denounce the president of the
united states, was put in jail.....Freedom of expression was suppressed,
as was civil disobedience during the US war effort of WWI.

at least america has changed a little bit since then.
