Dear Okkar,

you want to say, that the world including James Mawdsley and his familiy
should respect the laws and rules of an independent country. This is so
far okay, if there is nothing obviously wrong.
I want to give you an example: your neighbour is always drunken. He is
even unable to work, but he has a wife and two children. Every night if
you return from your office you hear through your thin wands how he hits
and shout to his wife and his children, because of his alcoholism.
Further he force all three to work that he can afford his alcohol.

Would you say, I respect, that this is his personal decision to get
alcoholic and it is his family with which he can do what he want? Some
people are really like this, but not James Mawdsley and me.

The drunken neighbour is Burma. The neighbours are the complete world.
Of course there are countries like Germany, who don't bother this
"drunken" country. They even finance this. But there are other countries
and individuals which want to help both, the country to come away from
its addiction and the people who need to suffer.
Exactly here is the frontier between tolerating or respecting rule and
law and to fight against inhuman rules and laws.

The United Nations, where Burma is a member, itself gave the other
countries and individuals the power to investigate and if neccesary to
act. This power is the Human Rights Court in The Hague. If you don't
like this power, you should suggest your government to leave the United
Nations.

You have to know, what there are eyes on your country. As long as the
Burmese government respect international law and rule, it can create
their own national laws as they want. Nearly 80 % of the souvereign
countries of the world have no problem with this.

Regards
Heiko
