As the junta officials have no faith in freedom and democracy, democratic
norms and practices mean nothing to them. Yet the generals and the colonels
whose interest is holding to power to be sure their wealth and property
stolen from the state funds and natural resources are protected, always make
sure to find strategic ways and means of tricking the international community
into believing that the junta took NLD's accusations seriously. OSS[Office of
Strategic Studies] is responsible for disinforming and manipulating the
foreign press. To receive foreign journalists and accommodate them at
expensive hotels is one of the major taks of the OSS officials. The corrupt
journalists can easily be corrupted and do not procrastinate to write good
things about the State Peace and Development Council despite lack of good
things to write about the junta. Recent news articles that depict good things
about the junta are clear example works of the OSS's manipulation.

The junta is spending all its resources to protect its grip on power. In the
junta itself, policies and state secrets are only on a need-to-know basis. A
colonel working for the junta will not have access to a lot of state data.
Trust is not the word that can be found in the generals' dictionary.
