No 2 BEHS in Thanlyin Gets Multimedia Teaching Centre
        
     A ceremony to open a multimedia teaching centre
was held at No 2 Basic Education High School in
Thanlyin Township on 8 January attended by Chairman of
Myanmar Education Committee Secretary-1 of the State
Peace and Development Council Lt-Gen Khin Nyunt. The
Secretary-1 and party observed skill demonstration of
students at listening section, demonstrative media
section, reading section, moral section, domestic
science and painting rooms and art studio. Then, the
secretary said; " The Government is implementing
education promotion programmes that will bring about
uplift of education standard of international for
turning out outstanding and brilliant students in
accord with the education policy. Myanmar is to catch
up with the rapidly changing world and to strive for
equal development to the level of ASEAN member nations
where basic education school play crucial role in
human resources development. That is why multi media
teaching centres based on information technology and
computer technology which are popular in the world are
opened at basic education schools and new generation
youths are being trained. The Government is carrying
out tasks for narrowing the educational gap between
urban and rural areas according to the State's
policy."
