Special envoy of Myanmar arrives

Deputy Foreign Minister of Myanmar Khan Maung Win arrived in Dhaka
yesterday on a two-day visit to Bangladesh as a special envoy of Myanmar
Prime Minister Than Shwe, reports BSS.

Actin g Foreign Secretary Dr Toufiq Ali received him at Zia
International Airport.

Foreign office sources said Win would hold talks with Foreign Minister
Abdus Samad Azad and hand over a letter from the Myanmar Prime Minister
during the visit.
