The senior officials of India and Burma today inaugurated the 165-km

the road as Indo-Myanmar Friendship Road.

The road, built by the Border Roads Organization of India at the cost of
around Rupees 100 crores for three years, connects northern Burma with
India's national highway 39, which terminates at Moreh in Manipur State
of India.

The road was inaugurated this afternoon jointly by Indian foreign
minister Jaswant Singh and Burmese Minister of Construction Major

Ministry of External Affairs of India attended the inaugural function.

In Tamu town, Lt. General Tin Oo, Secretary (2) of the ruling State
Peace and Development Council (SPDC) of Burma received Indian foreign

bus services such as Za Wa Na Bus Service, Shan Taung Tan Bus Service,
