Guwahati, Oct. 14: Disappointed with the ongoing war in Afghanistan,

India have raised a strong protest. The members of the organizations ?
Communist Party of India, Marxist (CPI-M), Socialist Unity Centre of
India (SUCI), All India Students Federation (AISF) and the Communist
Party of India (CPI) have started mobilizing the people to launch a
democratic movement against the war sponsored by America. The leaders of
the organizations are of the view that the United States is trying to
carry on its capitalism concept by instigating war in South Asia by
instigating war in Afghanistan. Ever since the war began in Afghanistan,
the members of the organizations have been holding meetings and taking
out processions in various pockets opposing the policy adopted by the
United States.

The unit of the AISF general secretary in Assam State Mr. Ratul Bora

oppose the war tooth and nail as it seriously affect the entire South

Muslim fundamentalists to be united as several groups have started

Considering the gravity of the situation in the region and the presence
of Muslim fundamentalists the left democratic organizations should come
together to pacify the situations.

wagging a war against South Asian countries on the pretext of attacking
on Afghanistan causing a matter of concern. Mr Deb claimed that taking
advantage of the war several militants groups of the northeast have
started regrouping.

A senior member of the All India Democratic Organizations said that
America is trying to destabilize the south Asian countries by
instigating war and it is the high time that all left forces should work
unitedly at this critical juncture. The situation in the northeast
India, which borders with Burma, is alarming due to stepped up
activities of the Muslim fundamentalists. They are learnt to have
received help from the foreign mercenaries.
