Description: "It?s not easy to take off in Burma. Burma?s newest airline, United Myanmar Air or UMA, is still grounded, though the airline announced that it would take to the skies by last September. The country?s second international carrier had another setback recently when it missed a December launch date for its inaugural flight. Now, the Ministry of Transport says UMA will begin its service by the end of January. Financial problems are causing the delays, say airlines sources in Rangoon. The airline has not yet even hired aircraft and cannot afford to pay its staff, said an official from UMA?s partner, Myanmar Airways..."
