Amyotha Hluttaw 19 February, 2015: Ministers? Office to be opened as museum for public observation

"Nay Pyi Taw, 19 Feb — At the 19th day session of Amyotha Hluttaw on Thursday, Dr Myat Nyana Soe of Yangon Region Constituency No 4 asked whether there is a plan to build social security housings under the 2012 Social Security Law. Deputy Minister for Labour, Employment and Social Security Daw Win Maw Tun replied that depending on economic development of the State and financial situation, the housing project will be submitted to the union government in coming fiscal years. Those workers wishing to buy the housing must pay the whole cost or 25 percent of their income to the project monthly during 180 months period under the 1954 Social Security Act and 2012 Social Security Law. U Saw Maw Tun of Bago Region Constituency No 1 asked whether there is a plan to arrange public observation of historic parliament building in the compound of Secretariat in Yangon. Deputy Minister for Construction U Soe Tint replied that Myanmar Investment Commission invited tender for renovation of the Ministers? Office (Secretariat) in Botahtaung Township, Yangon, and allowed Anawmar Fine Arts Co Ltd to renovate the building. The company will open historic rooms where martyrs were assassinated, office of General Aung San and parliament building for public observation. U Myo Myint of Mandalay Region Constituency No 6 submitted a proposal calling for successful implementation of projects in development of Myanmar?s future electric power sector. Three MP seconded the motion, and Hluttaw approved the proposal."
