''[Burma Act IX, 1939.] (3rd May, 1939.)
1. In this Act, unless there is anything repugnant in the subject or
context,—
(a) “ animal ” includes all members of the animal kingdom ;
(b) “ import ” means to bring into the Union of Burma by sea, land or
air, and
(c)“ disease ” means any disease which may be communicated to
man or animals...''
