''Whoever commits any of the following offences, namely :—
(a) theft, as defined in section 378 of the Penal Code other than theft
by a clerk or servant of property in possession of his master ;
(b) theft in a building, tent or vessel, as defined in section 380 of
the said Code ;
(c) theft after preparation for causing death or hurt, as defined in
section 382 ofthe said Code ;
(d) lurking house-trespass, or house-breaking, as defined in
sections 443 and 445 of the said Code, in order...''

''would otherwise be entitled ; and every widow who has te-married shall have
the same rights of inheritance as she would have had. had such marriage been
her first marriage.
Whatever words spoken, ceremonies performed or engagements made
on the marriage of a Hindu female who has not been previously married are
sufficient to constitute a valid marriage shall have the same effect if spoken,
performed or made on the marriage of a Hindu widow ; and no marriage shall
be declared invalid on the ground that such words, ceremonies or engagements
are inapplicable to the case of a widow.
If the widow re-marrying is a minor whose marriage has not been
consummated, she shall not re-marry without the consent of her father, or if
she has no father, of her paternal grandfather, or if she has no such
grandfather, of her mother, or, failing all these, of her elder brother , or failing
also brothers, of her next male relative...''

''2. In this Act. unless there is anything repugnant in the subject or
context.—
(a) “ creditor ” includes a decree-holder ;
(b) “debt” includes a judgment-debt, and “debtor” includes a judgment-debtor ;
(c) “ official assignee ” includes an acting official assignee and a deputy
official assignee, whether permanent or acting ;
(d) “ prescribed ” means prescribed by rules ;
(e) “ property ” includes any property over which or the profits of which
any person has a disposing power which he may exercise for his
own benefit ;
(f) “ rules ” means rules made under this Act ;
(g) “ secured creditor ” includes a landlord who under any enactment
for the time being in force has a charge on land for the rent of
that land ;
(h) “ the Court ” means the High Court ; and
(i) “ transfer of property ” includes a transfer of any interest therein
and any charge created thereon...''
