"The Global Compact for Safe, Orderly and Regular Migration (GCM) is an inter-governmentally negotiated agreement, prepared under the auspices of the United Nations, that covers "all dimensions of international migration in a holistic and comprehensive manner" The compact was formally endorsed by the United Nations General Assembly on 19 December 2018.[4] As the Compact is not an international treaty, it will be non-binding under international law.
