Pyidaungsu Hluttaw discusses three bills: "THE 13th regular session of the first Pyidaungsu Hluttaw continued for its 29th day in Nay Pyi Taw yesterday, discussing three bills. The three bills are the Remuneration Bill, the Shops and Departments Bill and the bill to amend the Workshop Act of 1951. At the session, U Myo Myint, who was recently appointed as the Union Auditor General, took his oath of office in front of the speaker of the Pyidaungsu Hluttaw. During the meeting, the joint bill committee and other MPs discussed allocation and expenditure policies for the Union Budget Bill for 2016."...Amyotha Hluttaw: "AT yesterday?s session of the Amyotha Hluttaw, U Khin Maung Yi, the MP from constituency No. 6 in Ayeyawady Region, asked whether plans are being devised by the government for quick responses and preventive measures for terrorist attacks. In response, Deputy Minister for Home Affairs Brig-Gen Kyaw Zan Myint said the government is actively cooperating with regional and international organisations to prevent terrorist acts. ?A 24-member central body led by the Union Minister for Home Affairs has been formed to quickly respond to terrorist acts,” the deputy minister said. During the meeting, four MPs also discussed the Former Presidents Security Bill."
