You have to be a bit nimble with varieties of spelling for the English transliteration of Burmese names and get used to working with their map system, but once mastered, the system does produce remarkable results. I?ve been using it to pinpoint the vast network of irrigation facilities throughout the country. First step I follow is to look up the place name in the World Waypoints section and get the co-ordinates Then I use a Nellles map to figure which of repeated place names is closest to the approximatel location.
